Francyn J. Brown

Francyn Brown practices trademark counseling, prosecution, enforcement and litigation, copyright counseling and enforcement, advertising law, technology licensing, and data protection. Francyn has experience counseling clients on the selection and registration of trademarks in the United States and has managed international trademark portfolios for startups and large companies. She has litigation experience in cases involving trademark infringement, copyright infringement, U.S. Customs disputes, and design patent litigation before federal courts around the country and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.  She also has experience counseling clients on technology licensing, advertising law and data privacy.

Francyn received her J.D. and intellectual property law certificate from Chicago-Kent College of Law.  While in law school, she competed and placed first at the 2016 Saul Lefkowitz Trademarks Moot Court Competition (Midwest Regional) with the third-ranked brief nationally. She also serves as an issue editor for the ABA’s Landslide Magazine.

Francyn graduated cum laude from Florida State University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and in Psychology.  During her time in college, she studied abroad in Valencia, Spain and worked in politics in Tallahassee, Florida’s capital.

In her free time, Francyn enjoys live music, rooting for the Florida State football team (Go Noles!), and walking along the lake with her rescue dog Ellie.
