Felicia G. Traub focuses her practice on domestic and international trademarks and brand protection.  She brings over thirty years of experience counseling clients from a broad spectrum of industries with regard to trademark clearance, protection, and maintenance, proper trademark usage, intellectual property aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and securitizations, global rebranding initiatives, and trademark and brand licensing. She has strategically structured and managed international trademark portfolios for large and small companies, including multi-national corporations with famous brand equities that are widely commercialized across the globe.

Felicia has advised and represented clients in diverse market sectors, including in the fields of apparel, footwear, and fashion accessories; luxury goods, fragrance & cosmetics; tactical gear and ballistic body armor; consumer packaged goods; beverages and food; restaurant services; household cleaning products; personal care products; healthcare; pharmaceuticals and medical devices; surgical and dental instruments; pet nutrition; industrial manufacturing; energy and natural resources; construction and engineering; waste management; technology and telecommunications; packaging and containers; real estate; finance; entertainment and sports; philanthropy, education, and non-profit intercollegiate Greek letter social organizations.

Felicia has practiced in both law firm and in-house corporate legal environments, including in-house with the French fashion house Chanel and in the global legal group of Colgate-Palmolive Company.  During her tenure as in-house counsel, she had jurisdiction over major consumer product categories in more than two-hundred countries globally, advising business units on all aspects of trademark, copyright and unfair competition law.  In her roles as in-house and outside counsel, Felicia has ably guided her clients through the myriad of intellectual property issues that arise in all stages of a multi-national product launch and roll-out — from concept stage to the shelf and beyond.

Felicia grew up in beautiful Western Massachusetts and thereafter resided in New York City for over two decades.  She graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, where she majored in Latin and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  She was also awarded a Duke University Faculty Scholar Award for overall academic achievement and excellence in independent research relating to Latin texts from the period of early Italian humanism.  She earned her juris doctor from New York University School of Law, where she was selected to serve on the editorial staff of the Journal of International Law and Politics and was awarded the Jack J. Katz Memorial Prize in Entertainment Law.  In addition to her prior concentration in Ancient Latin literature, Felicia is proficient in French, has studied Ancient Greek, and can read Spanish, some Portuguese and some Italian.
