Joshua A.R. Aldort is Counsel at Pattishall McAuliffe, with a diverse legal background including extensive experience in trademark and copyright prosecution, licensing, infringement and online advertising law. Josh has represented fortune 500 companies, mid-size and smaller businesses, certification organizations, charitable organizations and individuals. His industry experience includes medical imaging, toy and leisure, food products, telecommunications, non-profits, social media marketing and advertising, as well as assisting certification organizations in protecting their secure tests and secure test questions.
Josh received a B.A. in Political Science from Purdue University in 1992. He received his J.D. with a Certificate of International and Comparative Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology in 1996. While in college and law school, Josh studied in London and served as a Solicitor’s Clerk and a Barrister’s Pupil and assisted in defending clients in courts throughout London.
Josh is a Chick Evans Memorial Scholarship Recipient, a full housing and undergraduate tuition scholarship awarded by the Western Golf Association to golf caddies who demonstrate a strong caddie record, excellent grades and outstanding character. In addition to his affiliation with the Evans Scholarship, Josh has been active in a number of charities throughout his career, including service as Chairman of the Board of Leap Learning Systems, a Chicago-based non-profit organization whose mission is to improve education in underserved communities. Currently, Josh is a Trustee for Canal Shores, a not-for profit local community golf course, as well as a Trustee for Evanston History Center, a non-profit dedicated to capturing and teaching the history of Evanston, Illinois.
